Note
Hyperbolic sine and hyperbolic cosine are mathematical functions, also called sinus hyperbolicus or cosinus hyperbolicus; as functions they carry the symbols sinh and cosh. The hyperbolics of the cosine describes, among other things, the course of a rope suspended at two points. Its graph is therefore also called catenoid (chain line).
